Family Outing

One thing that surprises me most with having a newborn is what it takes to spend the day out of the house. Babies need a LOT of stuff!! Diapers, wipes, changing pad, extra clothes, blankets, bibs, spit rags, pacifier, bottles (which includes bottle, water, and formula, but not mixed together), then car seat, and stroller. I'm sure I either left our stuff or over packed but this is the gist of what gets us through an afternoon.

Then just getting us all ready to leave is another adventure! Making sure we're all bathed and in clean clothes that aren't covered in spit up, because lets face it, spit up becomes part of your every day appearance with you have a little one with acid reflux... but I wear it proudly!

Today, because of the rain, Sophia and I got to spend the day with Ty. It was so nice to get out of the house and just spend time together as a family. It was all due to the fact that the car needed tires (drastically) but non the less it was nice. Lunch at Louis, shopping at the Outlet mall, and ending with some caffeine at Starbucks! It was wonderful!

This day was simple but sometimes simple is the best! Now we are relaxing at home watching X-Men. No matter what we're doing just being with my family makes me happy! These two hold my heart and I can't imagine my life without them in it!
