Today was Sophia's two month well check visit with Dr. A. I'm proud to say my baby girl is happy and healthy! She weighed 10lbs 8oz - she's getting soooo big :)
She also had to get her first round of shots.... I know that this is such a controversial issue right now. But after tons of prayer and research I felt it was the best decision for my daughter. Dr. A was great, without me asking she walked me through all of the shots, what they are for, and why we get each one. She walked me through what to expect after the shots and even talked to me about the scary adverse reactions. That made this momma happy. I'm so thankful for such an awesome doctor for my little one. Sophie has done pretty well so far. She took the shots like a champ and did fine for a while. She took a nice long nap - which is normal for the time of day it was. Then about 3 o'clock she woke up crying... It was the worst cry I've heard come out of her.. broke this momma's heart. But after a dose of Tylenol and some snuggles from momma she settled down and has done great since. I'm thanking God for taking care of my baby! I know he's watching over my precious child.
Its been a rough day but we'll get through this. She awake and happy at the moment so I'm praying that the hard part is over and its smooth sailing from here!
I know many moms out there don't believe in vaccinations for children and I'm not going to argue or judge you for that. I believe every mother has to make tough decisions for their child and every mother should be supported. That being said, I hope that moms respect my decisions as well.
